The continued existence of COVID-19 in no way diminishes the importance of, or our ability to prevent, the seasonal flu. Especially now, maintaining your overall health is important. And, relying on your annual flu vaccine as a way of lowering your risk of contracting the flu remains just as important and effective.
It's time to get your flu vaccine
Administering flu vaccines safely – Flu Vaccination Saturdays
You can always receive your flu vaccination during a regularly scheduled medical visit. If you just need a visit for a flu vaccine, this year, many ACPNY office locations will have designated Saturdays for flu vaccination appointments. This way, if you just need your flu vaccination, our Flu Vaccination Saturdays will make it easy, convenient, and safe. Here’s how it works:
- Across our practice, offices will designate certain Saturdays exclusively to administering flu vaccines. You’ll have a range of appointment times available to get you in and out quickly.
- Some offices will offer mobile vaccination carts or curbside vaccinations to minimize time in the office or eliminate it altogether.
- To create an efficient and paperless experience, after your flu vaccination, we will send the required Vaccine Information Sheet for the 2020-2021 influenza vaccine and your After-Visit Summary (AVS) directly to your myChart patient portal.
